Yes! Both online and physical class lessons are available.

Currently we are using Zoom for our online live lessons, as most students are already familiar with the platform. However, we are always looking ahead and exploring more innovative technologies in the future.

In the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak, Zoom experienced a sudden surge in users as well as popularity. Soon, it became a target for hackers. However, since then, Zoom has tightened the security of their software and interface, Zoom has also poured in maximum resources on its security.

On top of that, during online lessons at The Chemistry Practice, we have all these additional measures to prevent hackers from intruding the lessons:

-enabling of waiting room to screen all students before admitting them (that’s why we need your photo submission during registration)

-all Zoom lessons are passcode protected and passcode is found only in the online portal account

-only Mr Kelvin is allowed to share screen (students are not allowed to share screen during lessons)

-students are only allowed to send messages to Mr Kelvin (students cannot message their friends via Zoom)

-Zoom lessons will be locked 15mins into lesson or when all students have arrived (which ever is earlier)

We strongly encourage students to ask questions and clarify their doubts. However we request that students reserve their questions until the end of the lesson as Mr Kelvin will dedicate time after every lesson to address questions from students.

All our lessons are recorded and these are available in the online portal for 1 week after the lesson. Students can log in to the portal anytime to view the lesson they missed.

In our normal lesson (not revision classes), we will focus more on content mastery, where detailed explanation on concepts will be taught. Students will also be given practice questions on key techniques to solve questions during lesson.
