Mr Kelvin is an approachable and encouraging teacher who has strong positive relationships with his students. Mr Kelvin is a very patient and understanding teacher. Every time his students have any difficulties with assignments, he would patiently teach us, making sure we understand the full concept so that we can solve similar types of problems without any difficulties. Mr Kelvin will wholeheartedly teach his students and ensure that they understand and are able to absorb. He even goes the extra mile of bringing models and items to help improve our understanding of certain topics! Regardless of how slow or how fast you learn, Mr Kelvin doesn’t shun any of his students away, and even makes sure that his slower students are able to catch up.

Chemistry had always been a subject I found difficult to master. However I was fortunate to have Mr Kelvin as my chemistry teacher! He was one of the few chemistry teachers I have known, who had managed to explain concepts to me in both a concise and captivating manner. Not only did he have the capacity to teach well, he also genuinely cared for his students, taking time and effort to point out the weaknesses of each of them, that they may achieve their fullest potential.

Mr Kelvin was both my Chemistry and Civics Tutor for both J1 and J2 (2016-2017). Not only is he dedicated to helping his students, he also cares for them. He realises some Chemistry concepts might be too complex for students to understand and tries to simplify it for them. Mr Kelvin goes the extra mile by bringing teaching aids, such as 3D models of molecules/compounds, into class, to help his students better visualise the Chemistry concept at work. If he sees that a student needs extra help, he would proactively approach and assist him/her. I am extremely grateful to have Mr Kelvin as my teacher as it was thanks to him that I managed to obtain a distinction for GCE ‘A’ Level Chemistry.
